I currently do not recycle. However if it were curb side I would.

I would love to have curbside recycling!! I would even pay an annual fee.

Weekly would be the favored pick. However, I'm sure that comes with added cost. To limit any potential cost increase would settle for bi-weekly pick up.

I think bio weekly would be good for the community. It will the community time to put their items together, plus it will save cost on manpower for pickups.

We really hope you will provide recycling services!

I am all for recycling as long as it doesnt rase my taxs

Even though there are many drop off sites for recyclables, I feel if there were curbside recycling pick up...it may help people see how easy it is to help out our beautiful planet! We recycle everything humanly possible and try to live by the "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" motto!

larger containers for recycling

We are long overdue for curbside recycling. Please make sure the new contract has curbside recycling. Thank you!!!

Recycling should be mandatory!!

Mandatory curbside recycling is long overdue!

At the present time we take all of our resycling to a center or to a home were they will pick it up because it is a benefit to everyone.

It should be mandatory that all residents recycle. There is no reason for people to have as many bags of garbage that they do. When we were billed $100 on our taxes we assumed that we would get curbside recycling which never happened. We recycle now but it's not real convenient taking every 3rd Saturday to the township hall. Bring Flint Township up to date and bargain for recycling in the next contract with Waste Management!

I have lived in this township since 1981 and have have taken my recyclable item to the landfill on Grand Blanc Rd. / U.S.-23 every Saturday......all I can say, " It's about time! " Flint Township has finally gotten with the 21st century.

I would also be willing to see the above 2 questions on a bi-weekly basis! I am a recycler and am tired of packing my stuff up and carting it other places! Make my tax dollars work for us on this one!! PLEASE

If curb-side recycling can be offered with little or no increase in taxes, then I believe it is very worthwhile. It would most likley encourage more people to recycle. If it would involve too much of an increase in taxes, then I'll jut continue to drop off items on the Saturady drop-off. Pick up of yard waste should definelty continue as offered.

When we began sharing the cost of waste pickup a few years ago, we were promised curbside recycling as part of the assessment. That wasn't put in place. I have been looking forward to curbside recycling; but not at a higher cost to us than what we're paying now.

If it adds to the taxes you can forget it!

Thanks for asking! I totally agree we need curbside recycling. People actually make decisions on where to live based on the availability of recycling programs. And I also commend your efforts to beautify Corunna Rd. Unfortunately our sign ordinances, or lack there of, are also a problem -Corunna Rd is looking more and more like Dort Highway. The flashing signs are so tacky.

Recycling in Flint Township has been a long time coming, it should have been started a long time ago. Thanks for considering recycling. Katie Smith, Flint township resident

recycling should be done in one large container 40 50 gallon and seperated after pickup...different small containers or small containers are a joke...cicero, indiana does a grest job

I do think recycling should be mandatory. I take mine to my Moms cause even though I have A flushing address shes the only one I know that has recycling in FLUSHING. I am amazed at how much my garbage has gone down. Since I take my recycleables to my mom's. So I would LOVE it if we had it!

We need to recycle for the future. THANKS

AT NO ADDITIONAL COST... NO NEW TAXES(FEES)

tagging yard waste bags or whatever they use that is not proper so people will pick the mess up and get it off the side of road that is a hazard to walkers and drivers or face a fine

I would really like to Recycle via curbside in Flint township.

Yard Waste is fine the way it is; I would just like to add recycling

Very very important for everyone to recycle...we really should take better care of our home, earth

incourage resident to recycle yard and food waste by composting,

I think it is a shame that we did not end up with curbside recycling the last time we had a garbage contract. Curbsie recycling is a reflection of our township's commmitment to a greener environment.

Unable to answer question #2 because of KWICK SURVEYS POP UP BLOCKING THE RESPONSES

I moved here from the City of Grand Blanc where glass/metal/plastic/newspaper were collected weekly. I was very disappointed to find no curbside recycling collection here. Currently, because I believe in recycling, I drive my metal/plastic to CBC in Flint. They no longer take glass. My paper recycling goes with me to Holy Family (Grand Blanc) where there is an Abitibi container and they get credit. I will continue to do that.

Years ago the trash truck came through once a week and picked up everything. Now the truck has to make three trips to do what use to be accomplished by one trip. Trip 1: Pick up garbage. Trip 2: pick up recycling. Trip 3: pick up yardwaste. I fail to see how sending the garbage truck out three times is cost effective or good for the environment. There has to be a market for the recycled material. If there isn't, the material still ends up in the land fill.

At one point Flint Township was the ONLY area in Genesee County that did not have curbside pick-up. Although this is no longer true, it is still imperative that we help the environment. It should also be made mandatory!!!

Current yard waste pick up is fine. We had weekly curbside recycling 20 years ago in Freeland. We have live here 6 years and still miss our recycling. Lets get with it.

I feel recycling is a responsibility, NOT an option! We have to start doing what is right, and recycling is one of those things!

About #2, during some months it makes sense to have weekly pickup, the rest of the time bi-weekly would work.

This has been a long-awaited service to put the Township on a comparable basis with Flushing and other communities relative to environmental responsibility. Thank you!

This is long overdue and appreciated.

Very intersested in curbside recycling

Recycling of glass and plastic will help our environment.

Since we are already being charged when the township last indicated it was to include recycling, there should be no increased fee charged with this new program.
